Insist on genuine Mazda parts and sheet metal.
Insurance companies may recommend imitation parts and sheet metal. It's a common practice. And, while it may save them money, non-genuine replacement parts (often called "Quality Replacement Parts") and sheet metal may not fit right, may not look right and may take longer to install. That's because imitation parts are not always built to Mazda's high standards and are not produced with Mazda's manufacturing moulds. In fact, they may even not last as long. Genuine Mazda Parts and replacement sheet metal are identical to the original equipment and meet all federal collision performance standards. Imitations may not.
Also be aware that our Mazda warranty covers only Genuine Mazda Parts - not imitations. In addition to their own limited warranty, Genuine Mazda Parts are also covered by the remainder of the new car corrosion warranty. Imitations are not.
